As an update, I posted the solve on the other forum, and the OP says thanks. I let it be known what an informed bunch of people frequent this forum, so don't be surprised if I'm asked to get your opinions again.
Another thing I thought about which would throw doubt on the screed idea........a screed probably wouldn't have those holes in it. Last thing you would want is the concrete you are trying to remove to be going though those holes, and onto the freshly leveled concrete on the other side.

Look at Texas as a possibility. Used to be there was plenty of work opportunities there, and the state is big enough that you can pick the climate that you would like best.
I'm from Eastern/Northeastern Ohio. I get the weather thing, but there are plenty of jobs right now.
Reasons why I think that it may not be a single cigar humidor:
1. Examples of single cigar humidors I am seeing seem to be made to be "portable", to be carried on ones person. This one does not seem to fit this criteria. It seems better suited to be desk top humidor.
