I'm pretty much into the same. Got an x-terra 705 gold pack, gold pans, river back pack sluice. Interested in everything from rock hounding, prospecting, relic hunting and wanting to head out searching for some of the lost treasure tales.

Anytime your in New Mexico again let me know. I'd love to go out on a hunt. Most the groups out here seem to be out dated or no response from them. Pretty much into any hunting from fossil, relic, gold prospecting.

Cool and congrats on the finds! Glad to know its a great gold hunter! I wanted it to be my first machine. even though tough to learn on it sounds like a solid machine that i wouldn't need to really trade up to another, from what everyone has said about the 705 gold pack.

Yeah i got the small waterproof dd coil sittin in the package. Its my first detector and wow is it a tough one to learn on. ID numbers everywhere just gotta get use to diggin the right ones.

Haven't tried prospectin yet with the 705 and was wondering if anyone has used it. Curious about your thoughts on how it does for gold hunting???

Just purchased the 705 as my first detector and curious if anyone in the albuquerque area uses one. Also that wouldn't mind a detecting buddy to tag along to teach so i can learn how to use the machine while hunting. Thanks....
