Did these dredged scrape down to bedrock? Thats the idea right? But, I cant see that those buckets effectively scraped the top of the bedrock... and if those gold fields had gold suspended in the aggregate.... wouldn't it stand to reason that there would be quite a bit sitting right on top of...
Try searching and reading every bazooka post on this site. There are many. Itāll be hours of reading but all excellent info. Especially the particulars of getting it setup with the proper flow. I donāt know that anyone has really been successful in setting it up freestanding as a āriver...

If you look at the opened drawing from a birds eye view, you'll notice that the line extension on the portion that reads 2' 5 1/16" is not in line with the actual edge of the top plate. I think that might be where that extra 1/16" came from.
I had to dig the sky file out of a long ago sent email. On my viewer, the dimensions show up too small for me to read...
I dont think the 1/16 is critical... its actually 2' 5 1/16".... plus 7" for the top plate creates an OAL of 36". I was learning sketchpad as I drew this out. Looks like...
What 1/16" are you talking about? I'm not seeing it on the file. Are you talking about a strip that affixed to the bottom of the back edge of the top plate?
I read every BGT thread I could find on this site, and goldwasher was a wealth of information on the construction of them. That lip is...
Turns out Trimble offers a free SketchUp viewer. Enjoy. Sorry I donāt have any real info on the perforations in the tubes. I believe that I calculated the cross sectional area of a 1/2ā pvc schedule 40 pipe, then figured out how many 1/8ā holes would equal just less than that area measurement...
I made a BGT prospector clone. At the time I created a Sketchup file with all the dimensions. Sketchup was free from Google at the time but was bought by Autodesk IIRC, and now you have to pay for it. I'd be happy to share that file, and you could try to figure out what to use to open it up.
Awesome. I know that great great grandparent was born in Rough and Ready in 1858. I sure wish I had more info surrounding this. All I have is a birthdate and a name....
I think I understand what Clay is pointing out. There is no reason to differentiate, pretty much, until you apply for a patent, and it's time to pay Uncle Sam.
Now, if one were to be granted a patent on their lode claim, such that now they own the land and the mineral rights to the lode...
Based on his screen name, hes in CA. In CA, corner stakes are not required to be maintained. I dont think they are required at all. The claim marker monument is required to be maintained. However, I do not believe that any individual has the "authority" to determine that a claim is invalid. I...
Absolutely. I have a Suzuki Samurai that I used to take to the claim. It's an excellent little go anywhere vehicle.
It's fantastic on poorly maintained roads.
