I've been trying to figure out where the excavation site was and who owns the land now. Would love to do some metal detecting up and down the creek near the excavation site if anyone can help figure out where it is.

According to what I've found, Horse Mountain is right behind where Lowes Hardware is now. Inwood Rd. runs right beside/through Horse Mountain. Most of it is homes now so who knows where the mine actually lays.

I'm just getting back on my feet after having toe surgery a few months back but as soon as I'm moving around good (should be in the next month) I'm up for doing any detecting! I'm located in Asheboro, NC.

I found these near an old home site from the late 1800s-early 1900s. Not sure what they are. Any ideas??
