I have been a relic hunter for years, but now find myself hunting mostly totlots and volleyball courts. I hunt about 2-3 hours per week. I usually find some valuable jewelry once every 2 months. By valuable, I have found silver rings, an heavy silver tiffany bracelet, two 14k men's gold ring and...
I have tried that idea. But in Atlanta the best civil war sites are now very expensive neighborhoods and I have tried asking permission and get 100% negative responses. Their lawns are those perfect kept type of lawns. So I have to hunt in parks where others have hunted real good in the 70's &...
I am thinking VaGent is also more correct for me. Makes it had since my Civil War hunting areas are in urban/suburban parks with lots of trash like buried soda cans and potted meat cans from park workers. But we all have to deal with the conditions of our hunting areas.
Metro Atlanta is a tough place to find silver coins. I am looking for good coin or civil war relic hunting spots in metro Atlanta. If you used to hunt these areas back in the 70's and 80's and wouldn't mind sharing the locations, please send me a private message. Thanks
I know the the 3 ringers go f rom 79-82 because have some of them and have tested them. But have never found a CW belt buckle. Of course those nowadays are really rare in Atlanta. People found them back in the 70's and 80's. But there still must be some hidden.
I am rather optimistic. Would like to adjust my relic tones on my XP2 to have a distinct tone on civil war belt buckles.
Any know what they ring up or have a XP2 and CW belt buckle to get the TID?
I only think a small % leaked, but those get all the notice, especially when it is yours. After the warranty ran out, I was afraid to dunk it. But then it really didn't matter that much to me, I don't do hardly any water hunting deeper than my knees and the 800 is fine for that.
Colonel Dan did most of them, I just added a few of mine. this a link of some of Rattleheads tests that I added to my list just yesterday so not in that published list.
I laid my 800 in 13 inches of river water while I was recovering a quarter. Not in the water more than 1 min and the display leaked. Fixed under warranty, but never let the control head ever get underwater again.
XP Deus2 my TID's mixed with ColonelDan's list. These can vary 1-2-3 tids depending on what pgm, but close enough.

ColonelDan - thanks for posting your XP2 tid chart over on detectorprospector. I imported yours and my XP2 TID's into the same excel worksheet and sorted it by TID # order. Then printed it out in large 24 font and photographed it with my iPhone and put it in an album I name metal detecting. A...
thanks Rusty and Jorgeke. I am using it to hit my nearby junky parks where I and get a handle on the features and how it performs on familiar ground. This park is not known for giving up silver, but I am finding more older clad than before. Using rattlehead's silver slayer program. Makes for a...
The 800 was not working for me. I bought the CTX3030 and use the 440 for my tot lots and volleyball courts. CTX too heavy and somewhat of an overkill for totlots and volleyball courts.
