  1. First hunt for me

One idea is that triangular thing might be a cutting tooth to some grain harvester. You likely have cross-century contamination, which can be good!
  2. Found in a Candy Tin: One of the First Coins Struck in Colonial North America

I can just imagine the senerio of the counterfeiter hiding that coin- “no one will think to look in here...!”

Just so things are good, hunt AWAY from High Profile tourist attractions, where "the man" doesn't spot you, and give a ticket...! Carry on!

Great job, on an Outstanding Relic...!
  5. "Boulder blaster" commercial or self made.

Well, no, but I know some that use 22 shells as a micro-blaster...!
  6. Found this brass snap hook on The Oregon Trail used to pull wagons anyone know what this is called? brass not gold dam

Yeah that is old for sure. I’ve been on the Barlow Trail at the very top where the wagons were lowered down super steep sectionS with scars on the trees to prove it! Tough going!

  8. Entry level gold detector for $500.00 or less.

Gee, sorry for her passing. The FisherGB Prob works well as a coin shooter too (my primary use)

    Potato peeler?
  10. Nokta Legend

And the Nokta Pointer doesn’t like the Simplex either!
  11. Is there an GPS unit that will get me within 10 feet of a site?

Add that once you find poor accuracy in heavy tree canopy then follow your separate compass on the same bearing you’ll get there!
  12. The mature stoner: why are so many seniors smoking weed?

Well-done thread starter...! Should get many posts...! From me, a 50+yr user, the legalization of pot has given me a sense of relief, not having to look over my shoulder for cops, to bust me...! But the use never stopped, whenever I had it, I smoked it...! I'm a functioning, habituate user! 8-)
  13. Is there an GPS unit that will get me within 10 feet of a site?

Forgot to add that when setting waypoints, find the best accuracy, set the point, then use "Averaging" to get even better closure, and the longer you wait, the better it gets (usually)...! ....then click "Save"
  14. Simplex+ vs Nokta Pointer

The Pulse Dive is physically unfriendly for me - I tried! Besides, NOkta Pointer is quite powerful, so the sensitivity is understandable between the two
  15. Simplex+ vs Nokta Pointer

Whoa! Thanks! I will try that out! I was hoping that NOkta will address that in next update.
  16. Nokta Legend

Haven't seen much on this new one from Nokta Makro. I'm sure it is a winner!
  17. Entry level gold detector for $500.00 or less.

My vote is for the Fisher Gold Bug Pro. Since I use one, my experience is that this machine will find small gold. And other real small objects. Simple to use, big numbers. Get a used one for under $500
  18. 212-year-old Silver and OLD GOLD

Your eyes, were especially useful on that hunt! :icon_thumright:
  19. Tavern trash pit dig yields Spanish half real
