penzfan, my brother lives in Ocala.....it's land locked; I'll check with him re: swimming holes and PM you.
I think the drive to the ocean from Ocala is about an hour and a half.
Good luck out there.
OMG!! NO wonder I couldn't find anything this past year!:laughing7:
NIce goin' ( as usual), and super congratulations on great detecting, Casper.
Hope to see you out there soon...the weather seems to be improving....heat wave coming up on Sunday...in the 60's.according to the latest forecast...
$ Naw, just a lot of home commitments.
I got this new device and am trying to post a pic of a tiny 14K earring I found a few weeks ago.
I'm using a smart phone which is sure smarter than am I, but soon I'll learn and post the gold...it's really tiny, but after a drought of a few months...
Nice goin' on that 1932 class ring, mnruxpin:notworthy:
The oldest class ring that I found is a 1934; the older class rings were made with much more"class" than today's class rings ( IMHO)..the class ring was almost totally gold...with just a small emblem on top.
I wish you the best out...
My machine seems to like silver; haven't had any luck lately in the gold category...maybe next time:headbang:
Today , this ring gave off a nice strong and high tone.
It was too hot out there to hunt more than an hour ( for me , anyway)
Here 's some pics
Thanks again for looking...
