YEAH! That is a great find!! The dog tag book currently has 1951 listed as the oldest known tag from TYNGSBORO Mass. I am 100% sure that is the same place, however, the listing in the book will Stay that way and we'll add 1936 TYNGUSBOROUGH Mass as a new listing! THANK YOU for the report!

That is a cool find! Your tag is from 1955 (EXP. 6-30-1956 means it was issued in 1955). The current oldest reported dog tag from Humboldt County CA is dated 1938, however, I am sure there's ones older than that! Just none have been found or reported yet! Thank you for sharing, Neil

Very interesting tag! I assume the other side is blank, right? I am not familiar with that tag. 1918 is a very late date for a "maverick" tag. And the serial number is quite large ~ #3223. This one is gonna take some research!

That 1890 VanBuren AR tag is awesome! The book has 1890 listed as the oldest know from there. $15 is a steal ~ that is probably $100 tag!

I don't have much info on the 1881 tag . . . it is a maverick . . . doesn't reference the town/city it was issued in. They are next to impossible to research because of the limited info

I have the newest edition of Dr. William Bones book US DOG LICENSE TAGS. Let me know what tags you have and I can look 'em up! The Ohio county issued tags are very well documented. Most of the counties started issuing tags in 1918. Neil
