Most likely a filled die. Sometimes the die gets grease or debris in some of the lettering or numbers causing the resulting coins to show weakness.

Yes, its the result of a grease filled die. Not worth much unless they are uncirculated or close to uncirculated.

Probably filled die. With the environmental damage this dime has, I would very much like clear, crisp, in focus images, just to be sure.

Time for more coffee.
