I'm pretty sure there's going to be some hurting folks out there after this one.
Under reported value-the cost of insurance=loss
Insurance is the factor/cause here-the 30 yr record of nothing happening.

A close friend had a robbery-then another-then suspension of insurance-too high was the cost of insurance.
12ga. shotgun was his only insurance.
Came to work one morning and $1 million worth of jewelry gone-uninsured.

probably over reported value also.
$150 Million ?, Full Exaggerated Retail Value, for Shows.
Example a $20,000.00 Watch in the Case at the show to Make you Go WOW !!!
Would be sold for maybe $15,000.00 If you buy on the Spot.
and the Jeweler probably bought it Wholesale for $10,000.00.
everybody smiles :laughing7:

Yes Probably upwards of $100 Million loss though.

Cash for Gold will Be Busy bouncing checks

The merchandise had been loaded onto the truck late on July 10 following an exhibit hosted by the International Gem and Jewelry Show in San Mateo, south of San Francisco, said Brandy Swanson, the group’s director. It was going to an event at the Pasadena Convention Center, she said.

Swanson said between 25 and 30 bags were taken, containing an unknown number of individual pieces. She said 18 victims were reporting more than $100 million in losses. Callahan said it was less than $10 million.

I believe the main problem here was their choice of secure transport company, "Brinks". If I wanted to transport that much value, I would definitely have used Malca-Amit. I would pay extra for extra peace of mind. As they say "you usually get what you pay for".

They probably found these numb skulls and released them.
There is no punishment for any crime. That’s why violence, robberies, shootings and murders are out of control. I suggest immediate death if found guilty for any of these crimes.

Does anyone know where the Cody's were at the time of the heist?
