Gettig ready for the black Diamond Teasure Hunt on Aug 13th I Spent Friday thru Sunday at three separate sites the best find was this 1749 Holed 1/2 cent. Site 1 was a 1950's house that yielded some memorial cents a Silver rosie dime and a toy hot wheels dune buggy. Site 2 was a period early 1900's house which gave up a nice brass belt buckle, brass door knob parts, oil lamp parts, a small salve tin, lead sash weights, decorate brass cap. Site 3 was construction site ni which an old house had been bulldozed. First thing I eyeball is an old "gutta percha" Button. Started digging large iron and came up with a small railroad spike harness ring, lots of junk. Then I got a good read on my Nokta simplex. Dug down a few inches and out pops a Ball jar lid. I look closer in the hole and see something else which proves to be a holed 1749 King George 1/2 cent. Im thinking there might be the proverbial jar of coins somewhere in all of this so I kept digging for half hour but that was it.
