Always dig your can signals, even if you’re surrounded with cans. I almost didn’t, or more precisely, came back to and out popped a beauty baldric buckle. Despite being listed in Whitehead’s book as 17th century, a friend and I think these buckles were used through the mid 18th century. This is the first of this type symmetrical buckle I’ve dug whole.

And the rest. And look at the gilt left on these flat buttons?!! Only god knows how many flat buttons I’ve dug but I have few that match the glint on these. A rosette, reign bell, and an ihp round out the finds
