These are finds from over the summer and fall as I have been learning the Equinox 800, and some old finds I never posted. The most unique find was a spill containing a 1869 British halfpenny and an 1858 Canadian dime, both firsts for me. Also managed a 178x KG III and a burnt copper probably a US LC.
Very nice! Is it from one site?

That's a great , varied collection of finds. Looks like you have been very busy! The British halfpenny and Canadian dime are an interesting pair. I especially love the crotal bell. I would love to swing my coil over one of those at some point.
Congrats!

Impressive finds. I'm a fan of old horse tack. Also like the iron finds, I need to dig more of those large iron targets. But kind of a pain to to carry around an old axe head way out in the woods..

Not sure why I suggested that one copper is a KG III with a date starting 178_ but they were minted 1770 - 1775 so clearly it's something else. Maybe a Connecticut Copper? I'll work on the ID.

Good question. I have found a number of them too and wish I knew! The button/valve mechanism on it at first let me to believe it was part of a musical instrument but I think it probably more likely some old plumbing or gas fixture. The item to the left of that (very top of pic 4) has ball bearings in it....also a head scratcher.

Most of what I've found are just squashed parts, but they're definitely the same thing. With your more intact part I found out its 100% part of a measuring tip off a powder flask! I've found a few other powder flask parts in the same area I found these, awesome!

The two front slots allow you to change the amount of powder, more bang for your buck!

Wow I am so thrilled you ID'd this! Much more interesting than a plumbing or gas fixture or musical instrument! Great job on the ID.
