John Smith suspender clip, Waterbury military button. This is what I'm thinking. I have no idea about the little plate. Any ideas

Reminds me of a picture frame but looks like it's very thin. Like the clip, I keep all the ones I dig. You must be on a good site

Thanks for the comments. I just wasn't expecting to find anything like that in the part of Kentucky I'm in. I'm going back soon and hopefully will post a coin.
