1840's Store

I really expected a lot more here. A LOT more. Ground was froze, plus much of the property was being dozed at the time, but we did find some neat stuff. My friend found a clipped corner militia plate, plain, didn't get a pic of it though. We got the hilarious propylatic tin, and a brass base plate to something. It says "PATENT 1849" on it, not sure what it is. I think it might belong to a telegraph. Only one coin... a memorial cent. That's it! Highly disappointed with our yield, but what we did find was pretty cool.

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing...

Those bust hunts are tough but they make the next find or hunt all that more enjoyable!

The ground is frozen here in NYC. That definitely will give up nothing but cold frustrating hunts. I would retry that spot after the Spring thaw.
Congrats on the base plate and tin.

At least you got that exercise. Congrats on the finds!

Your brass plate is part of a desk-top clock, so I have learned here on Treasurenet. I have found many myself. Don't give up on that spot, you have old stuff there. Sub 8-)

Found many a merry widows can. Another nice variety. Like the metal plate looks good!

We'd be happy swinging as well!!!!!!!
