Its great to get an old silver from the back yard.
It doesn't get better than that when one step out the door and start digging 170yrs old coinage. Congrats.

Nice find. How old is your house.
House was built in 1956 by my father. He was told property was the site of a pig farm/garbage dump in the 1920's. Numerous coins and several dozen sterling spoons found. Also a 18K gold dental plate dated to about 1860's. This coin was in a valley where no garbage was found.

Nice seated. Nothing in my yard older than the coins I planted in my test garden. One silver dime from the 60s.

I was totally surprised to find such an old dime in my own backyard. This is my oldest coin I have found.
Nice find....back yards can be full of surprises.
