Found a book dated 1872 with the title "A Systematic View of the Science of Jurisprudence" by Sheldon Amos. The book is in pretty fair condition and I believe it is a leather cover but not sure. I have found reference to reprinted versions but can't find the actual book anywhere or value. If anyone cold enlighten me on the possible value, etc., I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

You're right, lots of reprints, but nothing available on the original, according to Google. Try contacting Skinners of Boston (or another auction house)
I bought a 1767 original Dictionnaire Philosophique Portatif by Voltaire for $10 back around 2000, in an antique store. The inscription read "French Philosophical Dictionary" with the date 1887. Apparently, they couldn't read Roman numerals. The book is one of 3 that makes up the set. By itself, it's worth about $600. As a set, upwards of $10,000. Still haven't found the other 2.
