Very nice finds. Those Liberty nickels are my favorite nickels. CongratulationsTop finds from the weekend at an old home site in the forest along the Peoria River.
Hey! Yeah, I posted that lock yesterday was trying to get an ID. These were my best finds over past two days (including that lock). Yeah, the hammer is to an old cap gun. The badge says "Prospect Point" Niagra which I believe is the overlook at Niagra Falls on US side. Had a silver looking finish to it but I don't see any markings. The site itself is an old road that once had 3-4 homes going back to lates 1800s/early 1900s. It is all forest now. I believe bottom right is a clock key. Tough hunting (especially with AT pro) as it is completely full of iron. But when you get a good signals it usually ends up being something old/interesting.I recognize that padlock, I think, from your earlier thread? Neat for sure!
Anyway, that badge is cool, what period of time you thinking, eh? Is it a souvenir....?
There's a Hammer mechanism to a cap gun..?
And an OLD coin...!
Plus, other cool stuff...!
sweet nickel and in good shape too, wtgTop finds from the weekend at an old home site in the forest along the Peoria River.
We are padlock bro's....... I picked one of those this fall. That style is cool, I wonder as to the date.....everything else I found among the lock was 1940's to 50's but the place did turn up some mid-19th century buttons and spoons. hmmm. NICE

I headed out on Sunday to catch the minister of a small country church to ask permission to hunt (it was granted.) I met several people from the church, all of them, including the minister were nicer than nice. Before I knew it, he was telling me of an old African-American church location near...www.detecting.us
