I did a deep woods hunt following a stone wall. It was very quiet most of the time except for the usual bullet shells and lead chunks. I did manage to hit a small hot spot along the way. Got a 1842 Canada bank token and a nice silver 1907 50 cent piece! 😁👍

You've got so much history in Atlantic Canada Kevin.
Congrats on all of the coinage, especially the Edward Fifty Cent Piece!
Based on your finds, I'd say that site deserves a revisit.
Dave

Now that I'm regularly travelling to the Maritimes for business, I'm hoping to get permission to an early 19thc home site that one of my dealers lives on near Beechville, NS. In 1816, the first Black refugees from the War of 1812 arrived in Beechville, NS. The early settlers of the community were refugee Blacks fleeing from the southern American colonies. They were given a grant of five thousand acres close to the Northwest Arm in an area to be known as Refugee Hill.

Yeah they weren’t made for long that’s for sure. Such a short reign. I am lucky I found 2 of them Edward’s. This one and a 1904 Newfoundland 50 cent piece! 😁
