Looks like an 8 over 7 to me, which would be simply amazing!! A lot of fakes out there though according to this article: http://www.coinsite.com/content/faq/1918over17.asp

That's clearly the over date.

Even has the crack above the tie on the brade.

I found one of these in change, circa 1966. Despite the coin's rotten shape, I can see the overdate; the 7 is clearly visible under the 8. No doubt about it - you've got one.

Sure looks like it....this is an amazing find out of the ground because how many of these come out of the ground corroded and pitted to heck. So to find one is one thing, being able to still see it is another....very cool. Good job!
