Did a short hunt after work on my new field homesite. Used my new Minelab Vanquish 340 which I got mainly as a backup for my water hunts. Its definitely an impressive unit for the money in my opinion. I mentioned on my last post that I hoped to get at least a half real or half dime out of there and sure enough my only coin was a 1782 half real :hello2:that I picked out of the iron. Other keepers were some flat buttons including the dandy and what looks to me like an early coin weight

That is awesome. Seems like a bunch of people on this site are hitting Spanish silver lately. Wish I could join the club. Congrats!

Hang in there. Some places there is more Spanish to find. I got lucky and found Spanish silver in my first year of detecting, but it was 13 years before I found another one. (Still only 6 in almost 18 years.) Keep swingin and it will be there.

Very very nice finds there. I feel like the coin weights don't get too many oohs and aahs but I'd really like to find one of those along with some nice Spanish silver. Congrats on it all.

Awesome Finds...! :icon_thumright:
That coin weight, might just be a gaming piece, tho.
The symbols in the corners, certainly don't resemble
any early American coin - perhaps...?
