Those are some really great bottles. Some people spend half a life time looking for a good hutch

Always a great day when you find a complete hutch. I only have 2 this year. 19 last year. Must have been beginners luck.

Awesome finds! Are drought conditions helping you find this cool stuff or is it a super remote site?

This was my first complete hutch for the year, last year found two - both within 48 hours at two different locations, then never again for a full year till now! And beginners luck is definitely a real phenomenon, one of the first bottles I ever found was a 1849 pontil soda bottle from the old Bowery in Manhattan, never found a bottle that old or awesome ever again! 🤣

No drought near me, it's actually been incessant thunderstorms for the past week. No, it's not even a remote location, just many different locations. The finds are merely the result of pure incessant searching. If you just keep looking you will find everything you've ever dreamed of. 😄

The first hutch I found last year really opened the flood gates for me. Basically hung up the detector all summer and was in the river as much as I could. A few days I had 2 or 3 hutches and other goodies. Then we found a bottle dump and dug that for a month or so. Everything was late 1800s early 1900s and there was a TON of glass. Probably 200 or more complete ones. Been dodging rain and high water this year. Got my first stoneware beer a few weeks ago. Man was that a surprise. Keep at it underminer.

Yep, since early 2020 I have really switched up my hunting style. Not finding as much gold or silver as I once did but I've been having alot more fun just freestyling it in nature exploring far flung locations. Alot of historic stoneware, glass, and ceramic artifacts. I sometimes bring a shovel or other simple tools but mostly just a backpack and provisions for long hikes in the wilderness. I may brake out the metal detector for some of these new locations in the fall, seems to be alot of potential. I have a few bottle dumps I found by accident, two I know I'm the only one who knows about them. There's this one place where I was pulling between 2 to 4 blob-top beer bottles every time I went just on the surface, and I know there are more burried there, only problem is getting to the actual location because it's so out of the way, but that's the price we pay for the good stuff, right? 😎👍
