Well got out for a couple hour hunt at the 1883 farm house, dug lots of can-slaw "not pictured" Kept digging the old zinc Mason jar lids at about 8", was getting tired from them & the mowed over cans. I think I finally got into the better part of the yard. Got a couple silver to show for it! Finally!! 1945d merc & a big ole whopping sterling bracelet!! Woo hoo!!! Found a very decorative piece of steel, unsure what it is. Heres a couple pics. Thank for looking!

The metal echelon or whatever it is,

kinda intrigues me. So I cleaned it up, & figured I'd post another pic of it. It really has some nice designs to it.

Yeah friend bought a whites v3i & it was too much of a detector for him. I paid $300 for it with no manual. The v3i really is a beast once you start understanding it as you stated. I'm happy with it, but im better with my old trusty DFX. I'm soon to say the dfx will probably be seeing some closet time, as the V3i slowly takes over.

Really nice finds, congrats!
That iron escutcheon has me going, I know I've seen it somewhere before...
Thank you, if you happen to remember where you seen the escutcheon. Give me a shout back.
