**UPDATE BELOW** I was going to the park and the oldest church in my town was having the front dug up. I asked if I can run my detector over it and they said you have 20 minutes before church starts. I got 4 memorials and a 1853 Seated O Half Dime and she’s mint!! I’m going back after 4 o’clock and swing in there till 7. Wish me luck [emoji1360] IMG_2799.jpg IMG_2798.jpg IMG_2794.jpg IMG_2795.jpg

As if the half dime wasnt spectacular enough in near mint condition, it had to go and be an O mint mark... :occasion14:
Id be over the moon.

Very nice! A bunch of my best finds were from a tear out. Small town OK, main road out the front of a 1880's Courthouse. They were resurfacing the road and took all the bitumen out. Found a 1895 Barber half, lots of V nickels, gold ring.....all period. I always keep an eye open for tear outs. Anyway, congrats of a great find, hope you have more success.

That is one nice half dime! Hopefully there are more relics and coins around that place waiting to be discovered!

That must have been terribly exciting! I haven't found one yet, although I was about 30 feet away from a buddy when he found on this spring. Obviously, I don't take him with me any more.

Wow! :hello2: That saw very little circulation before that got dropped. Sharp details. Good luck on the return trip. Hope you hammer it for some more! Great find!
