Nice temps and good you got out, like the religious pendant! HH, Mike

Nice finds...see, if detecting doesnt pan out ...you can always fish! :)

It's better than a goat's head on the beach! Nice and warm too for Pa in January. :) That particular religious medal seems to be a very popular lost item,I found the same exact style twice already, one was aluminum and the other silverplate.

I wonder if throwing them in the water is some type of Rutual.
I'm talking the Religeous Medal not the Goats Head :P
I'v found dozens in the lake, over the years. from Aluminum to silver also.

Thanks for te comments all.

Hey, I got a stiff neck, half a dozen red ink stains, a paper cut, and a bad case of "white page" blindness from editing all day. Wanna trade with me instead? :D

an hour a leg, not bad...........

Jeff,

next time out you may find the other leg ;D

Everyone finds that medal. Could be because
it is dedicated to "lost souls". ;)

have a good un........................

It is likely that those medals are not "lost items." There is an old wives tale that if you bury a medal or statue of St. Joseph (or some other saint) in your yard, then your house will sell quickly and for a good price. Do a google search for "bury medal sell house" and you will see lots of websites advocating and refuting the practice.

We sold our house 2 months ago for a very good price without the benefit of the buried medal, so I cannot speak to the success of burying a medal, but it may explain why many of us find them...
