It's better than a goat's head on the beach! Nice and warm too for Pa in January. That particular religious medal seems to be a very popular lost item,I found the same exact style twice already,one was aluminum and the other silverplate.

It is likely that those medals are not "lost items." There is an old wives tale that if you bury a medal or statue of St. Joseph (or some other saint) in your yard, then your house will sell quickly and for a good price. Do a google search for "bury medal sell house" and you will see lots of websites advocating and refuting the practice.

We sold our house 2 months ago for a very good price without the benefit of the buried medal, so I cannot speak to the success of burying a medal, but it may explain why many of us find them...
