Sunday morning went back to the old school site. Only hunted for 45 min. before my hands froze, cold and windy.
Went back in the afternoon for about 3 hours and didn't need a coat, temp. rose to 74 what a difference. There
is a low area that was still muddy and each day as it dries out I hit it and today it was still alittle muddy but I was
able to pull some goodies. The large disc is nonferrous and larger than a half dollar could only see some design
faintly with a loupe, still don't know what it could be. The L.C. is a 1848 and didn't get nicked by a plow but all
the years in that field cooked it up. In the same hole as the L.C. was this ring, not marked. Made a couple of
trips back to the car with junk, I'm pulling all targets at this site, some of the junk is heavy copper and brass.
The rest of the finds for the day were a 187? Shield Nickel, 87,91,92,97,03 I.H.s, 10,19s Wheaties. HH DFW
