Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the best looking/oldest wheatie I have pulled to date!!! 1917-S

Very rare to pull a wheatie this old in such good condition here in Oregon. Our soil really kills them! But I found this one where some old steps were...Protecting it, I assume. It was only 1" down I also pulled another wheatie, I am trying to get a date off it...Dang Oregon soil!

Nice hunt and a nice Wheaties. Know what you mean about our soil chewing up those pennies. Found 4 wheat's down in Sacramento last year in the 40s that looked new. The ones I find up here are usually all eaten up and hard to read.
