Sunday Jim and I hit a field that was totally loaded with modern trash, can slaw, and whole cans everywhere, enough of that! We went to a field I hit 4 yrs ago with my xterra 70 and I think it gave up about a dozen indians before. With the etrac I managed to snag 4 indians 1873, 1879, 1881, and 1906, and a gen service CW button. From there we hit a small farm house that I hit before as well, got a few misc relics, old gas light valve, fancy makeup case, and a broach. Two of the indians turned out nice and two were crusty so i had to get aggressive with them to see details and get a date.

Last nite we hit an old ball field I have been working, lots of fill dirt here, clad is all 7+ inches, so the old stuff is all 9-10+ inches. You have to run manual to even reach the oldies. I got a quiet lil high tone but it was reading 01-31....01-50, 22-41, every pass was a different number and the depth meter was pegged to the bottom. I was at 29 manual sensitivity. At 10+ inches out popped the 1927 merc dime. Shows you that those crazy numbers can indeed be deep coins!

Some really ornate finds that talk about life 'back then', things being more artistic that is, and the coins Ah if they could talk, Just a few years after the Civil War, still hard times. Great finds!........................63bkpkr

Nice finds! What readings are the Indians typically giving you on the E-trac? I just got mine not too long ago and need to start digging up some Indians:)

90% of the indians I dig are around the area of 09-36

VERY rare to ever see a 12-36 for an indian, the FE number always seems to be lower like 08 or 09...when I see 12-36 I am thinking zinc penny
