The ground and polished piece looks like something that was going to be an ornamental piece, rather then a weapon designed for squirrel hunting. Since you would only have to grind and polish the tip, after all. How was it hafted? I certainly don't know everything, but I have never heard that suggestion before. I honestly don't believe that archaeologist, lol. I doubt they use one small arrow point for rabbits, for instance, and switch to a ground and polished point for squirrels. But, what do I know I guess....
