Today, we were heading to the fields around the 3rd NEW Roman Site, when we spotted a field that had recently had its oilseed-rape stalks mashed up, so we stopped off to check an Iron Age/Roman Site that was on our list. Although we know its a Site because it had an Archie dig on it, we don't count it until we GPS some finds & that's what happened in out short 1 hour 15 min hunt;
4th NEW Roman Site this year;
Ses of Trajan
Roman Headstud Brooch
Roman Knife Handle (A first of its type for us)

There was not much around, so we moved on to check some new fields, I simply did this by field-walking without the detector. Its a quick 10 minute job on each of the 2 fields (negative results), so time to move to the 3rd NEW Roman Site where we spent 2 hours 15 mins gridding;
14 Scrappies
Roman Furniture Finial
Roman Partifact (strap junction?)
Rare Charles II Tin Farthing with copper plug

Another very hot day where we went through the most water & still finished early!
