I can't attest to their authenticity, but for this drill I'll assume they are real.
The top coin, with the 1796 date was minted in Mexico City, contains 0.8960 silver.
In VG condition it's value is about $60 (in Fine condition: $90) pursuant to the 2013 No. Am. Coins and Price Guide. It was a common coin in that day.

The other coin appears to be a French 'ecu' more fully described as:
Obv: LUD.XV.D.G.FR.ET NAV.REX, portrait facing left.
Rev: SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTUM 1732 or 52, oval with three lis, surmounted by a large crown, shield bracketed by wreath.
Mint mark is at the base of the 'crown' side.

Composition: Silver
Fineness: 0.9170
Weight: 29.488g
ASW: 0.8693oz

For a value, you may wish to check Ebay's "Completed Transactions"
Don.....
PS: The mint mark (which appears to resemble the "and" mark) is from Aix-en-Provence.
