My Son and I got for an hour hunt today and we did good . The crazy thing is that my two best finds of the hunt both were found in the first 5 minutes . I turned on my M6 and the first sweep I get a +75 at 2 inches . Out pops a 1941 Wheat . I thought this is a great sign ! Three targets later I get another +75 at 3 inches . Out pops a ring , #82 ! It is a gold plated Lord of the Rings ring . That was it after that , my Son and I found about $8.00 in clad .

An obvious counterfeit, since the real ring would show no scratching or imperfections of any kind.... and the runes would only be visible under intense heat.

... ugh, I'm such a geek! :tard: :help:

Very nice finds! ... and 8 bucks of clad, too! :icon_thumright:

Who knows? Maybe in 100 years that reminder of Tolkein's trilogy will be worth it's weight in ... something.<G> Pretty rare, I believe, as you had to order them from forms that were slipped into the original VCRs or CDs.

that's a great find, except for the fact that now you have to go all the way to Mordor and cast it int the fires of Mt. Doom...... 'll be glad to go with you, I'd really like to MD some of the places along the way..... ;D

Hey . . . what was your final total for last year?

You seem to have found a lot more this year :icon_scratch: or is it just my imagination? :D
