I see some of that "salt and pepper" material down here, any idea what that is? I too am curious on the tool with the base, that is one that would keep me digging.

I always have the beatles in my head that would be a late archaic bottleneck.

I can't find a positive id on that flint type man, but I call it oolitic chert, about the closest thing I can relate it to.
I find it every so often.
