Hi FinalSteps50/50

Looks Like A Range Marker
Made to be Seen from Miles Away

The Heart is a Conformation Marker
Giving you Confidence your on the Right Track
Because of its Size you are on the - Trail But Not There Yet

001.jpg

How do I explain this -
Its Like a Freeway Sign Giving you Conformation
your Headed the Right Way - But Not There Yet
As you Get Closer to your Destination, Signs /Markers will Get Smaller
Like Exit Signs – And You Mite Find Many Others Along your Path

You Have to Decide - What your Heart Desires - to Stay on the Right Trail
Most People will Look for the Royal Trail Markers
that will take them to a Mining or Storage Area

When you Get to a Mining Area / Yard - The Markers Get Even Smaller and Hidden
Like trying to Find an Address to a House
in some strange Neighborhood you've never been in before, that you mite be looking for -

Sorry GPS Will Not work Here – lol

Once the Mining Area / Yard has been Identified
From This Point on it take Knowledge of Identifying the Secret Coded Messages
That were Left Behind from the Past – From the Ones that Came Before You.

It mite take days if not Years of Research to find what you are looking for
But This Is What this Subject is All About – Ask any Searcher on this Thread
Learning and trying to understand what went on in the Past -

Nobody Said This Was Going To Be Easy -
But It Can Be Fun And Educational
Try your best to find the Trail and Have Fun Searching
Take Lots Of Pictures.

But Most of All, Stay Safe while your out there.

What help are you looking for other than giving you a guess as to what the natural formations resemble?
Don........
Just some input on what they WOULD mean, if they were man made. The compass stone is classic Charles Kenworthy example. The turtle is hard to see because it was a little cloudy that day. The skull face and the "mummy" are interesting, but without any info on what they pertain to, they are merely strange landmarks.

Signs of what? I can see someone using an unusual formation as a LANDMARK to remember or guide one to a particular place. If you are suggesting someone MADE them, that would be an incorrect assumption. Except for the obvious relief carving, the photos are of natural rock formations.

It's funny how the compass stone is exactly as Charles Kenworthy described In his book "Spanish Monuments and Trailmarkers..." with 4 stones holding the massive slab above the terrain it sits upon, both to catch the searcher's eye, and to allow water to flow beneath it so it doesn't get washed away in heavy rains.

It also points to the "mummy" carving about 2 miles further along the trail. This is on a documented stretch of the old Spanish trail that was used during spring and summer months in Durango, Colorado. It's no secret where it is.

The turtle sits directly above a carved Spanish cross, depicted as a single line emanating from the center and growing larger as a spiral might as it circles itself 3 times.

It seems a lot has changed on this site since I posted these same pictures ten years ago. It's sad to think that the experts here are either weary of interpretations, or downright deliberately dismissing submissions that were confirmed by their peers a decade ago. Just seeing which way the wind blows here these days. Thanks for your time and astute introspective. Good day.

The compass stone above, as you call it, is as good of a name as any, for the natural formation. Imagine, if you will, as Rod Serling used to say, the physical realities of humans holding the large slab up, while Billy, the stupid one, places the stones below it to prop it up, carefully calculating the right spot, while his buddies scream to hurry up.

The reality is natural erosion already washed away all but the supporting rocks. It's a great LANDMARK.

Don't be so sensitive about your fantasy. I'm just one person. There are plenty here who see natural formations as impossibly made by men with nothing but a horse and some rope. Or not even that.

They really are great natural land forms.

I agree with your assessment of the compass stone. It very likely isn't a dolmen. Same logic applies to balanced rocks. Even though these intriguing formations are natural and fairly common, nonetheless they make excellent landmarks and could well be used to help guide a searcher.

This is telling you to look thru the windows (eyes) that look like angular eyes on the right side. It's a long range marker. The triangle means divine. Not sure sure which window it suggests. Looks like the left of the two. But the far left side of the right-most window is interesting. Will probably see monuments or big boulder thru either. The lower part of the perched is dark eyeballs, one larger than the other. Kinda cryptic. They all are. I have a few monuments just like this. They show something off in the distance.

Eyes in any shape (square, rectangle, oval, circle and any unconventional shape) tell us that a part of us is separated and you have to find it. And that part can be a stone dug in the shape of an eye, and it can be a hill or an area of the earth in that shape. Its size can be equal to, bigger or smaller than the size of the eye. It can be far or near. In general, the dug eye is considered as shadow, night and black, and you have to find its counterpart, which is white and day. (black and white. night and day. man and woman. sun and moon. left and right. standing and sleeping)

This mummy carving is well known with locals in Durango it was carved by students from Fort Lewis College several years ago while they were studying ancient Egypt nothing to do with the Spanish Trail or a treasure. Sorry
