really cool finds. That standing liberty is one of the cleanest I've ever seen come out of the ground. WTG

A litttle more info on the SLQ.... I was just getting ready to tell my son that we were going to call it quits for the day, when i decided to check the old front entrance sidewalk edges one more time. And the quarter hit hard on the Deus 2 but only after i got the coil actually up over the sidewalk...it was about 2 inches back from the edge and i am sure had been there before the sidewalk. So this also explains its very good condition being it has been protected by the sidewalk. I cut a plug against the edge of the walk and then used my trowel to tunnel in to the coin. This is our second SLQ in two weeks.

You and your son certainly did well with your finds on this site last month. I find the 'love token' interesting, makes me wonder if it was something someone made in their parents basement workshop for a sweetheart? It may also have been something they had made at a local county fair. Due to the fact that it was engraved with a 'Dremel Tool', I'm thinking would likely date it from the 1960s - 80s. :icon_scratch:

Founded by the Austrian inventor Albert J. Dremel in 1932, the company is located in Racine, Wisconsin, US. Albert J. Dremel held 55 patents across a wide range of inventions, including an electric eraser, electric fish scaler, electric shoe polisher, electric screwdriver, power sanders, scroll saws, a device to monitor chicken's egg production, and first design of the now standard walk-behind rotary lawn mower. His first product released within the company was an electric razor-blade sharpener, which lost popularity when cheap disposable razors became available. Dremel then developed the high-speed lightweight rotary tool, later named the Dremel Multitool, for which the company continues to be known. This invention was successful in the hobby and craft market.

In 1948, Dremel gave his employees a 3% year-end share of profits, at the time seen as a radical idea. Dremel died on 18 July 1968 at the age of 81. People found many ways to use the rotary tools. In the 1940s the US Defence Department reportedly used Dremel rotary tools in developing the first atomic bomb. Military doctors used the tools in dermal abrasion techniques to reduce scar tissue from battle wounds. Dremel tools are also used in tattooing. It is also used by podiatrists for use on shoe inserts, and dentists use them for crafting dentures.

1964 – Introduction of the Dremel Electric Engraver.

Congrats on the early brass wedding band and on the 1930 SLQ too.
