Hello everyone! Is was a hot one here in Florida. I was able to get out for about three hours before I got the mop on top of my head chopped. I went back to the part of the property I’ve been hunting and quickly pulled out a couple musket balls. I also found a couple of strange items. One of the items seems to be a piece that is gold plated and probably post fort period. Not sure what it is but it seems to be a solid item that does not detach. The other piece is a multiple holed object. Could it be a metal object that held cartridges in a box? I thought I would get out of their without a button but turned this dragoon button with no time to spare!

The holed object might be a thin slab of stock material that was hand punched out for homemade buttons.....what material is it?
