Out here in the hills I've had to house sit for awhile so took my metal detector. Grounds hard as heck and the area is trashed but did have a 1910 home on it and a bar in the 70s also a store around the same time. Was mostly a frustrating time with the shovel bouncing of the ground, trash galore and not much of anything cool coming up. Managed a few eh things and a decent well silver plated silver pickle fork. Wish my stubbornness would of paid of a bit more but it is what it is.

Whatcha stubborn about? I can be pretty mule headed but like a mule,I learn well🤘
I will metal detect no matter how hot and miserable it is out there. Dealt with the rock ground and tons of trash. Haven't had a ton of luck in my metal detecting lifetime but I don't quit I'm determined to find something good. I keep it up even when the odds haven't seemed the best

I consider that a good day 😎. I went to a park this past weekend, and dug a total of 11¢ and miscellaneous trash.

Thanks for sharing!

A few pictures of what I had to deal with and this ground is unkind this time of year. One foundation is from a house from about 1910 with the tires and junk on it and the other is from a bar that was there in the 1970s and a bit of messy land from when it used to be a store in the 80s and now a house with lots of crap all over

That Carlsbad caverns token is pretty cool and that little caveman or wildman token also. Just getting out is fun even if there aren't a lot of finds, to bad the ground is so hard.
