I found these in the hour before sunset today. Heartbreakers all but I’m thrilled to find them. I’m visiting family in the Sierra foothills and haven’t found slate artifacts before. This was a new spot to me and I

started seeing flakes pretty quickly on arrival. The broken slate point was first then the little broken blade. I found the slate knife in the crotch of a tree that would normally be under 25’ of water. I just saw a little worked edge and voila! The crude point was the last find as the light died.
