Greetings Fellow T- Netters,

I had an enjoyable hunt on Friday which turned up a nice variety of interesting finds

The highlights of the day were a gilded civil war era ( I think...) Navy button, and what I believe to be a William iii half penny. The button cleaned up well, and is marked " D. Evans" on the back. This was a button company based in Attleboro Massachusetts. The half penny is in rough shape, but has a bust facing right, and on the bottom of the reverse you can almost see the date. Looks like 1699. Sorry that I couldn't get a clearer picture. My regular camera that takes great macro pictures croaked.

Also found this odd item with a hole in the center. You can see a figure on the front, and there is some writing on the reverse that's hard to see do to corrosion. There was a piece of glass in the hole when it came out of the ground. I'm guessing its a watch fob, but don't really know.

Thanks for having a look!

Nice button and finds. Hope you get an ID on the fob thingy, as it looks interesting.

Nice group of finds, especially the button:icon_thumleft:
Maybe the fob piece is a fob/ magnifier.
