Today was a cold wet day, but ever keen we decided to talk a walk round a grass field that has had cattle in with an electric fence, the cows have been moved, so no fence to hamper our efforts!

Not very much to show, musket balls, 2 of the lead thingys, and 2 dumbell shot (?) a couple of buttons , a strange shaped piece of metal, and himself found, what he has convinced himself of, a lump of metal, he describes as a Bronze Age axe…. I’m not convinced… but will leave the I’d to the experts on here 🤔 xx to wet and cold to take any scenic pics… sorry! xx Hopefully Sunday and Monday will be kinder weather for us xx

Congratulations on another good hunt. Maybe not as good as some others, but still a good hunt. Your strange shaped piece of metal in pictures 4 and 5 is part of a trigger guard from a musket. A nice find in itself.

Im glad you are still able to get out. With snow cover, frozen ground and family obligations I haven’t been out in 2 weeks. I’m starting to suffer from detector withdrawal. :laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Stay safe, good luck, keep swingin and have a great new year.

Nope, no Bronze Age in those pictures.
(We have time on our side, so no need to do heavy rain right now.)
If you were on grass, thats easier in the rain, so good effort.
