Oh wow! Awesome find in regards to actually finding it.

Just watched a show in TV last night about the Klan... was a rerun on the antenna. ( I refuse to pay for cable). It makes me sick in my gut to think that people were, and still are, in that mindset.

Neat piece of dark history. Actually, you would be surprised at the amount of KKK activity in northern states like Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Most people think it was only rooted in the south, but like you said some northern states had it as well. Some of the folks from down south would move, and so did their ideology. Where I live in Arkansas, I can still remember them driving around the rodeo arena parking lot in the bed of a pickup truck, and also saw a Klan meeting in a area where locals would swim at during the summer months.

Something you don't see everyday. Didn't wander too far from home.

Not saying there wasn't plenty of K activity in SC, but contrary to popular lore, at the height Klan membership (1920's) the state with the most members was Ohio.

I grew up in PA. Not all with that line of thought we’re members of the Klan.

Still an amazing find. Congrats!

That find is both fantastic and terrible at the same time. It is a cool and unique find and evidence of the darker part of our history. Keep swingin.

Super cool !!. If the world wasn’t so politically correct that’ s a banner quality find just based upon the history behind it.

I’ve only seen one other of those but, I don’t recall where. I had a run in with the Klan 20 years ago when I was a small town police chief here in Georgia. Wasn’t too much to it though. It didn’t take long until they realized I wasn’t too impressed with them. The incident made the local paper as expected and after some investigation, two were identified. I haven’t heard of any more activity down this way since.
