Today seemed like a non detecting today. I had tons of things to do. Although all through the day I kept thinking if I get everything done I might be able to go.
As the day wore on, I realized I would have time. Yes! I came back home and loaded up and went. Only to realize when I got out to the fort that I left my pin pointer! Dohhhh!!!! I decided not to give up although I only had an hour of light left. I was in a lot that I’ve been to quite a lot. The lot is filled with iron so you really have to work to get anything out of there.
After digging my first hole I looked up only to see a full moon rising! At that time I figured since i forgot my pin pointer I was in for more disappointment.
I was very surprised to right off the bat finding 4 relics. I found an 1812 to 1815 era pewter infantry cuff button. Then I found this brass piece that reminds me of some kind of spout. I then found the brass cuff button and flat flower button that has an iron shank. I had a short but good hunt after all. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and great digging to all!
