Just got back from the Anaconda area. I detected 2 ghost towns and at old buildings. I found nothing significant. Cruising the Big Hole area, we (son and grand daughter-20 yr old) saw a school in Divide, Mt. The grand daughter asked to use a spare detector (DFX) and I used my VXi (both Whites). In 5 minutes she found an 1860 Portugal/Africa copper 1/2 Mutoca (Sp-?) coin the size of a silver dollar. I left with a zinc cent, she left with a Wheatie, a copper cent, and the large coin. Oh, whoa is me! I live in Minnesota.

Good for you guys. I have been by that school a thousand times I bet but was always afraid to go detect in there. Some little kid probably brought the coin for show and tell ( if they still do that ) and lost it. Sorry I missed meeting you here.
