I had this posted in my todays finds yesterday and was not able to get a positive Id. Looks like a harmonica reed but is much thicker and bigger than the ones I am use to finding. Members have suggested possible accordian and concertina reed, but others has stated they have an individual reed for each note. I placed it next to a harmonica reed that was found at the same location for possible ID, any ideas?

I find so many of those over here, no idea how to narrow the date enough to a small period in the 19th C. Been used for so many years!
