Didn’t mean to post it just yet. Was getting nagged by wife. Apparently something called a washing machine had broken down. Anyway stopped raining about 15.00 yesterday, so had a few hours detecting. The hammered silver is an Elizabeth l three pence, the portrait is as usual very weak. The little copper coin is a James l farthing. Robert

This is the other side of the two coins. The Elizabeth l is very typically weakly struck on the obverse.

Just a few pounds at most. The value is in the history, and enjoyment of finding them. Don’t get me wrong, if the obverse on the Elizabeth coin was in the same condition as the reverse 😀
