Okay were you born in America or Africa? Your either American or African. I always get confused when people say they are African american.

I'm in Halifax, PA just started metal detecting again and I moved here 4 months ago.

I agree with the person who said most blacks aren't black but a very pretty brown. But, here in Mexico a few years ago, a local doctor came up with an RN born on a local ranch. She was the color of a new tire, pure black. She was also the most incredibly beautiful woman I've seen in Mexico. Doing lots of genealogy, I am still curious about her ancestral background. I know Otomi; Popoloca; Aztec; Toltec; Olmeca; Maya; Inca; and my wife's great uncle married a descendant of Spanish slaves from Vera Cruz. She was much younger so my wife has aunts and uncles 40 years younger than she is. This melting pot is part of the reason I love Mexico.

No different than being Irish American, Italian American or German American. We all have different ethnic roots.
