Good evening!

Today I went out to an early spot that was an old cabin site from the late 1700's-early 1800's.

In the past week I've dug some great finds here including an 1852 seated half dime and a 1783 Nova Constellatio.

This time out I felt like changing it up and running my Simplex in field mode....Giving the Equinox a break from action. I dug the usual bits of lead ect then got over a solid signal in the high button range. I dug the signal and about 5" down in the sidewall I saw a silver rim and it looked small....like half real or half dime kind of small. After plucking the silver disc from the sidewall I felt resistance and saw a link stuck to the back! Cufflinks! I said out loud.

I popped the whole piece out with my hand digger and while spraying off with water I see the discs were actually Spanish silver coins! One 1736 and a 1742 half real. Still in shock over this find. Best Spanish silver spill I could ask for! Thanks for looking and HH to all!
