Last day of the “detecting at home holiday” was another perfect day.
The usual lead (the big chunky one weighs 269g…) . And another belted round thing (found one in another field a few weeks ago). Nice range of buttons again.

Some metal bits, and then a new livery button, a strange piece of metal with glass (?) in it and finally another little metal object
with writing on it. Any IDs as ever welcomed! xx

oh I forgot to add one… I don’t know why but I want to believe this is from a suit of armour 😂😂 but that could be down to too much sun this week 😎

Sorry your holiday is coming to an end. You sure have found some great stuff. Sure would love to come over and detect there in the land of my ancestors. Not going to happen unless some of my Clore relatives over there foot the bill. So now we'll only see these kind of finds from you every other day? LOL.

Another good Medieval bit circa 14th C. I think its a W, which on pilgrim items denotes Walsingham Shrine, not 100% on this connection, until the full ID.
Need to see the reverse?

That has me slightly stumped me as I've not seen this type. I've had very similar shaped square mounts with letter styles the same as yours but they went on horses. They didn't have the 3 projections at one end which with the 2 iron rivet holes at the other suggests a Strap-end. This strap-end may have gone on a belt or even on a strap binding of an expensive book like a Bible. Hence the possible Religious connection that these letters normally denote.

Wow, thank you so much. As with the seal, the religious connection fits for the activity in that area. will Speak to the land owner, if he doesn’t want them, I will contact the church still associated with the Benedictine priory nearby and see if they would like them. Thank you as ever xx

@CRUSADER btw… think I’ve found a connection to the belted balls. A similar image appears on this shield, it’s described as a belted Pomeis ….? And the button is similar to one I found on line with the name Heathcote? Which again would fit? Maybe??? 🤔 x

No idea the glass/metal jobbie though.

Sad to hear it's your last day of the digging holiday, back to the old grind.

I wouldn't say they are belted balls more like flat circular long cross coins.
