Once again, I was going though my grandparents stuff, and I found this. Not sure what type of gun it is. Itā€™s semi automatic, though.

I also found ammo that fits it.

I verified it is safe to use, and in working condition, so I took it to the range. This thing is accurate to about 200 yards!

I donā€™t know what type of gun this is, but I will try to find out.

My grandfather says itā€™s an M1 carbine, but he has dementia, so I donā€™t know if thatā€™s accurate.

I was gonna go pull mine but the baby got put down so ain't going in there now. But I thought mine was stamped Para. It's a shorty carbine like yours as well. I was just curious

You are a lucky guy. Search Rockola M1 carbine. There is a ton of information on the net. Your rifle looks to be in great shape. It's definitely worth a few bucks, so make sure you clean it and oil it after use. I'm not well versed on the carbine, but I know some surplus ammunition used corrosive primers.

And you can get a whole assortment of aftermarket stocks for it.
From folding paratrooper stocks to custom stocks
Oh good lord no ! A Rock-Ola M1 Carbine is one of the most desirable manufacturers and yours looks to be in extremely nice condition. Appears to be pretty much untouched. Rock-Ola made juke boxes and was one of the companies that switched to supplying war equipment during WWII. You have a rifle worth upwards of 2-3k if you don't jack it up with aftermarket crap.
