This message is in response to the recent vase post there are no markings just a number 20 circled on the bottom of the vase

I'd say that it's French in origin. But without a picture of the bottom and the top, I can't be sure. Looks to date from the 1920's though.

More photo's = more information! :laughing7:

I like the vase. Thanks for showing the pictures.

I have seen electric lamps similar with handles but never a vase.

Thanks very much for re-posting photo's of your vase. This vase still appears to be either French or possibly Austrian to me. It's very decorative and was probably one of a pair originally. This was certainly never intended to be made into a lamp, but most likely was intended to sit on a fireplace mantle. Still looks to date from 1910 -1920, even with the crackling.
