Hello Im a antique collector who recent came across this vase I have not been able to find its equal or any information on it due to recent time consuming responsibilities. I would appreciate any and all information regarding it price and origin thank you.

Any marks on the bottom?

This message is in response to the recent vase post there are no markings just a number 20 circled on the bottom of the vase

It looks like a lamp and not a vase. Can you show a pic of the top and bottom ?

I'd say that it's French in origin. But without a picture of the bottom and the top, I can't be sure. Looks to date from the 1920's though.

I have seen electric lamps similar with handles but never a vase.

Thanks very much for re-posting photo's of your vase. This vase still appears to be either French or possibly Austrian to me. It's very decorative and was probably one of a pair originally. This was certainly never intended to be made into a lamp, but most likely was intended to sit on a fireplace mantle. Still looks to date from 1910 -1920, even with the crackling.
